Thank you for the welcome. I'm really excited to get started. My 4 string CBG should arrive in the next couple of days. I've bought a little amp, some picks, a couple of slides, got a chord book coming and I've even cut my fingernails in readiness.
As a total beginner on any sort of guitar, it's daunting but I'm really looking forward to learning.
Hi A.D! Nice to hear from you, hope all is well with you and family. Into keyboards and guitar lately. I’ll have some CBG vids soon. I found some outtakes of jams I did with some tracks you sent way back. Now that I can keep the studio quality of your tracks, these sound pretty good. I’ll make some videos and post soon. Take care my friend and keep doing great things on your videos.
Sorry but I never knew this was here. I'm not sure what you mean by capricorn. When the wife and I got married we took a honeymoon trip to all the national parks over 10000 miles of driving. But some of the most amazing sites. This is a figure in the Monument Valley or Canyon de Chelly, They are not painted on the walls of the canyons but hammered or scrapped into the walls by removing the natural patina called varnish. It is about 8 foot tall and 30 feet off the ground.
It has been about a year since I started making cbgs I love making them wish I could play but my fingers cant seem to stay with the patterns in picking or strumming, someday. I enjoy the rezzos you never know what the note will end up beening in a long sustain.
I hate to disillusion you, but I had no idea of Eastern Instruments when I made most of my builds-if there are any Eastern traits in my builds it would likely be the 'form follows function' of using the limitations of my materials-a Fishing Net covered with Cigar Box 'scales'(FishF) a Tennis Racquet (Tennis) and Gourds( BirdB and Gourd on Blue) with narrow round necks to fit my freakish flipper-hands...convergent evolution as it were.
This doesn't mean I don't know about the Saz etc NOW of course as Covid-19 and Youtube have since improved my education:
The piano is a replica of a Viennese 'fortepiano' I built about 20 years ago. It's 6 octaves and dates from 1815. It has a different kibd of action to a modern grand and has a characteristic soft, refined tone. Glad you liked the ukes too.
ha ha ..Thanks wonderful!...I love all of your stuff and watch your stuff all the time!...i dont post comments to often but I am always watching...its great!
Im good, brother man.Just consumed by work a bit. It's spring and it's a bit loco.Things are growing at a record pace and we are bout as busy as ever. That and my dead brain are creating the perfect storm combined wif my wrist arthritis to kinda limit my inspiration. I've been trying to create, but it's like startin up the car without the battery workin .So I have bout twenty pages of two verse and a chorus. Also been feeling like all my stuff just sounds the same. But I need to get back in the groove..Thanks so much for checkin in on me.How is your family doin? Hopin all is good.I'll post soon and come by to listen to vids. cheers, brofessor
Hi Andries. Good parts hunting bro. Your new build looks great. That big slotted head has the look of guitars from the 20s. Perfect for a resonator. Today I’ll cut my new neck into the big Cheroots box. It’s coming together.
Hello again Andries. A bear hit me and messed up my wheels. I got it sort of repaired. Lights and lenses back in order. The body remains crumpled. That stays. I’m into it for about 400$. I bet the bear hurts worse than me. I hope he’s ok actually. He was quite large. 300 lbs. or so. He ran off after he took on my Chevy. Watch out for bears Andries. Mess you up.
Hi Andries, it’s the season of building for me. No contest here. With the garden and sauna recording studio closing for the cold season, I’m just bustling about. I love to make these things. It’s entertainment to me. I have a huge 250 cigar size Cheroots box to make a bass cello with. It might be good. Happy November Andries. I’ll turn 75 by Thanksgiving. :^)

Very beautiful guitar lamp, but that guitar looks like it should get played too!

Thumbs up for "be careful with stones that you throw"!

sigh. Must finish a Dulcimer and start practicing.....
It was my pleasure.

Thanks.
I missed it! --- Feker, Faker, kind of a take on your name. Cool.
But what I said about some of these guitar makers getting crazy about similarities to their logos is true. I love your end product guitar.

Andries,
Thanks for likin' my work!!!
It's a spider bridge with a passive pickup.
Best regards,
George
It's easily done Andries. No matter how hard we try to be careful, accidents happen. Hope it quickly heals up my friend. Bob.
