Blues and whiskey? That's two good things. Three if you count the song. ;-)

Thanks John! I had them formatted in verses and chorus but the line spacing got deleted in the post below, for some reason, but here they are properly formatted. :)

Good lyrics!

Thank you Unc. I appreciate the feedback. The tempo changes help break up some monotony and keeps it more interesting to me for playing. Might be the 4 string is sounding a little less cluttered and I was more relaxed since it was Friday night and no going to work in the morning ;^)

Thank you Dave, this little amp has been fun over the years and more handy than my plug ins. My mumbling of words may be part of it. My wife is always on me to enunciate better... Here are the lyrics:

Blues & Whiskey
I got luck, but it ain't good
No need for me to knock on wood
I get caught in a lightnin' storm
Any time dark clouds form
Hardly ever see the light of day
For my line of work it's best that way
I got stories I can tell
'bout getting in and out of hell
When life gets me tightly wound
There's blues & whiskey to ease me down
The vision on your angelic face
Puts my demons in their place
Lights a flashin', didn't get far
Wasn't much of a get-away car
Had no money to post no bail
So I spent the night in jail
Had nothin' on me when I got caught
Can't hold ya long for what you ain't got
All the others got away clean
Time for me too change my scene

I heard and liked both 4 and 6 string versions too.  I think this one is my fave of the two.  Not sure why.  Maybe you are a bit more polished with it.  The tempo and volume changes make it seem like a good story teller giving us a story.  Highs and lows in it,

Thank you Denbo, much appreciate your kind comments and taking time to listen to both versions. :)

Your little amp is percolating Derek. I like the changup in tempo and structure within the song. I couldn’t hear all the words. The guitar is louder than the words at times.
