This is my first attempt at using a band saw to rip an inlay in the fretboard. I sprayed the tailpiece with car paint and clear coat to match the wood. 3 way switch between a Fender single coil with a Faraday shield (NO NOISE AT ALL! and a big piezo under the resonator. The middle position between the two pups is great! 23" tenor short scale for proportion with a Padron wooden box.

I am constantly fighting between building 3 or 4 stringers. I play the 6 string a bit and have made some CD's. I almost subscribe to Del Puckett's axiom of '6 strings is 3 strings too many!'. I kind of like the stripped down sound of the 3 string and it is easier for most non-players to pick up. And these days with Digitech's Trio, Sdrum,  and other multitrack loopers, you get drums and bass kicking in behind whatever you just played- IN SYNC! I mean with two chord changes or nothing at all, you can build a song of separate intro, verse, chorus, verse, outdo. It is all amazing. AND you can link devices together. If the sound is too thin, well, overdub on a cigar box bass or another chording or solo track. It is the age of the solitary composer doing great things in their bedroom! The background colors behind the guitar are moving blankets. And the band saw bit was my first crack. And of course I have the OPPOSITE automatically with oak in the middle and the Paduk on the outside because you cut thru two fretboards at once and they fit together PERFECTLY. It is tricky doing it by hand but I did it. I drew some lines and tried to keep the saw blade on track. I just got a cheap WEN band saw and LOVE IT! Of course I saw the tutorial a while back ON CIGAR BOX NATION! My mother used to say that I was a veritable suppository of information. I believe in passing it along.

Nice back ground colors. Quilts?

The only 'mistake'   I see is that it would have made a great 4 stringer.  I like 4s the most.
