This could be git related or not. So, what's on your workbench at the moment?

I have 4 scarf joint necks in different stages of work.

A 25" scale pine 5 string neck for a Banjo-Res, A 25" scale Red Oak neck for my 6 string Strat-Res build, A 24 & 1/2" scale Red Oak neck for my 6 string Double Cut Tele build and a 27" scale 6 string Baritone Conversion neck for a Modern Strat body I have.

Cause, I know exactly what you are going through, its like the first few chapters in the book of life have been ripped out with just tattered pieces of memory left. Some pages are totally gone others are partially intact. Memory lane is full of pot holes with sections of it washed out.

There are tons of videos on the picture transfer how-to. Glass, wood, rocks you name there's a vid to do it! I'm an information junkie, can't remember half of the shit, but I still watch! CBN is my favorite haunts, its a good fit. Something I'm truly into and isn't costly to do(like my airbrushing) I go over to FB just to poke the wasps nest and leave.

Daniel, that sucks you went through that, sorry! No one should ever have to!(well maybe half of DC)

Cause - can't wait to see the results of your punchi painting effort, glad to hear it has worked out for you.  The paint job looks great prior to the stencil work.

I can't think of any specific yellow/red stuff you might be recalling - depending on the era though, it seems like there was a lot of Fisher-Price and Little Tykes stuff that was heavy on the red & yellow colors.  Loved the old Tonkas when they were still steel - I have my big dump truck from the 60s yet.  It's in tough shape (rust) but I can't bring myself to repaint it.

Waterslide decal success! Now i need to get me some water based poly and this thing will be ready to go!

It's as ugly as I pictured it. I know it could have kept that blue color. But that color is to cool to be covered with this much ugly. Going to save that blue for another guitar.

MadGomer that yellow and red item will always be a mystery. A toy car, squirt gun, train. drinking cup? There's literally hundreds of items it could have been. And don't repaint that Tonka. I've seen big Tonka trucks sell for $$$ covered in rust at auctions.

This is turning out great Cause. Glad you got it figured out with the problem piece.

Holy sheepdip Batman - that's beautiful!!

Gloss or semi? I vote for gloss.

Just got back from the local lumber yard. Gloss it is. Want that silver to pop like chrome.

Rat! You are an artist! You killed it! Now hurry up, want to hear how it sounds.

Sweetwater had some great deals going and I got some fingerpicks, thumb picks, Flat Wound guitar strings, Flat Wound Bass strings, 2 cords, a capo and a Bass Amp.

Got the Ampeg BA108 Amp. It's a solid state amp with a 8" speaker and puts out 20watts. It was on sale for $99.99, but they had a B-Stock model(used for Demo Video) for $79.99. Just couldn't say no. My current bass amp was a First Act 4watt guitar amp that I modified for Bass and hooked up a TV Subwoofer for speaker. It was Okay, but the sub was starting to get flubby. It was time for me to get a real Bass Amp.

Awesome. Does it have speaker out jacks? Sometimes a 20 watt can become 40 with the right speakers. Ohms. Mine does. Other stuff sounds great.  Flatwounds rule.

It has 2 inputs for Hi/Lo, Aux input, Phone jack, 3 band EQ, Volume, Aux Volume/Presence and -15db button on the Lo side. 8" speaker. The tone stack is based on their "Legacy" amps.

My bass is apart at this time for a pickup add on, so I had to put a guitar through the Hi side to test. It has a great clean tone to it. The bigger models of this series have a "Bass Scrambler Overdrive circuit, effects loop, HF mute and Direct Out. They come in 10"/12"/15"/2-10" versions.

Cool. I have a big one. Promethean. Bummer is that I don't use it enough and some of the pots and sliders are getting scratchy. Guys at the guitar shop would take it to gigs, didn't really want to part with it. Tip for anyone having gits laying around: spin the knobs back and forth about a dozen times, leave them at the far left so corrosion doesn't take place in the middle of the sweep.
