Screwed up in a big way! Working on a CBG on my picnic table aka work bench when I knocked off my box of tuner parts(see where this is going). Living in Fla the land of sun and sand, lots and lots of sand. To make a long story short, I need to replace the screws, without them my projects are dead in the water. I can't find them in any hardware store. What size are they, so I can order some? Thanks.

shovel and a sieve??  might find them..lol

but seriously after a bit of searching the googles i found this in a forum post "For vintage (Kluson type) tuners they are #2 x 3/8", round head Philips sheet metal screws."

stew mac also carries an assortment of tuner screws  https://www.stewmac.com/Hardware_and_Parts/Tuning_Machines/Tuner_Pa...

Quick, head down to Home Depot and pick up a hand full of those strong magnets. Glue them to some string and drag around the area where your stuff fell. If they are there, those magnets will yank them out.

LOL, I went the route of magnets, they are either plated brass or aluminum. As far as the shovel/ sieve route. To expand on the tale of whoa, while I was on my hands and knees, the dog decided to help me dig. Need I say more! I scooped up a shovelfull of sand and sifted it on a piece of screen. Fla being what it is, the area I dropped the screws in just happened to be a giant cat box. So needless to say it wasn't screws I found! :-(   But hey thanks for the ideas and size, as long as they don't come by slow boat from China I'll order a hundred or so, just not from Stewmac. I don't have a problem with profit, but do with being bent over!

That's really funny! I have so many days like that when building my CBG'S.Nothing you can do but laugh. Sorry but the dragging the magnets through the kitty littler box really got me roaring. Glad you got this sorted out.

For sure! Some days you're the 'dog', other times the hydrant! All you can do is laugh!

Bummer.

CBGitty sells 'em online, Try SKU:30-034-01. They also are kind enough to include an extra or two in tuner packs, which is very much appreciated.

Thanks I'll check them out. I didn't know which size to order, being all thumbs I'm not use to working with thing that small.

Not at home  depo , or the usual suspects .. but ..

Ace Hardware "usually " has them .

Tried my local ace but no joy. Went to one of the guitar store/repair shop, no luck my neighbor that's responsible for getting me hooked on this addiction let me borrow a dozen out of his kits until my arrives next Monday. Found them on eBay 100 for less than $5+ free ship. The next time we get a good rain and I don't forget, I should be able to recover a bunch on the ground! Or they'll sprout and I'll end up with a tree with loose screws. Thanks everyone.

I would just search Lutherie Suppliers, you got dozens to choose from over there, lucky buggers. Australia got its fair share too.
