Danny, I don’t use Bass tuners. I’m using Gitty’s two hole long shaft classical tuners. I use Cello strings which aren’t as fat and stiff as Bass guitar strings. They are easy on your fingers and sound pretty good. I don’t use a bass amp either. I use a Vox guitar amp. A Pathfinder 15 watt. It’s not heavy like a bass amp and so far I’ve not blown the speaker. I use my home made Crosley. Radio amp also.

DID YOU USE BASS TUNERS? REALLY TAKING SHAPE NICELY. I AM WANTING TO MAKE A BASS BUT NOT SURE HOW BIG A BOX TO GET AND DO I NEED BASS TUNERS

Thanks Uncle John. Shaping the scroll works good with the razor files. They amaze me. Expensive but worth it. The curved one is the most useful. 
I’m no drummer but the cookie tin works good. I sounds jug band to me. I’m e enjoying the trio. This time I did the Bones Parlor first, then drum and Hobo Fiddle Bass last.

I like that scroll and open head.  Good music, Maestro.  The percussion adds a lot.
