Comment by JL on March 16, 2016 at 3:17am: The 6.5 fret is a split fret where the second string is tuned to a 5th, the main string has the 6th fret a whole step above the 5th fret, the second string has the 6th fret only a half step above the 5th fret, so that all the frets are notes in whatever key the open strings are tuned in. for a single string its not an issue and put it a whole step above the 5th.
