This could be git related or not. So, what's on your workbench at the moment?

I have 4 scarf joint necks in different stages of work.

A 25" scale pine 5 string neck for a Banjo-Res, A 25" scale Red Oak neck for my 6 string Strat-Res build, A 24 & 1/2" scale Red Oak neck for my 6 string Double Cut Tele build and a 27" scale 6 string Baritone Conversion neck for a Modern Strat body I have.

"......ing room floor. Along with a new fine tooth blade."

Already done. And i'll be keeping the blade off of the old table saw as well. May not be the real quality stuff. But ya, better than what's on it.

Awesome Blue. Glad I wasn’t talking to myself.

Yeah, a good quality blade is a great investment. There are a lot of brands out there, I've lost track of what's great vs average. I used to buy Freud, and was always happy with them.

Freud is great. Forester, (sp?).  A higher end Diablo is great. One can always take the supplied blade and compare it.

Hi, the blade I'm using at the moment is 10" 80 tooth TC and I think it is called a planer blade. This is due to the fact that the finish of the cut off the saw is dead smooth and in most cases does not require sanding. When I get time I'll take it off and have a look.

Perfect. Many of the higher end blades may not be called "planer" blades, but produce the same result. My 49 buck diablo leaves a glass finish. My Freud 80buck small left is awesome also, just be careful not to overheat any blade. The blade will tell you the feed rate, too slow, burn marks, too fast, trouble.

Hi, I had to come back as radial arm saws are mentioned.

i ran a woodwork shop with all the saws mention here. We manufactured products like garden furniture and custom orders. I worked in the Worksop and as manager in my office for 16 plus years. No accidents.

Why do I mention this? Well all the workers had a "disability". The workshop was part of a work preparation facility for young people with intellectual impairment and/or "challenging behaviour. I gave all workers the opportunity to use all the machines, depending on their individual abilities. The radial arm saw was a major part of the production chain, and all workers used it. Some had more supervision than others and some needed none, after training. I'll find a photo of a lady with cerable paulsy using the radial arm saw.

This is something I thought would be useful, he has some great homemade tool ideas. I promise this right link!

Because I believe in quality not quantity. Here's an ace in the hole! :-) Camlok clamps(click here)

Hi, I built these cam clamps about 25 years ago, maybe more. I used aluminium flat bar instead of treaded rod. Quick and easy.

and here's a publication that's handy to have around, dought if its available now, I've had it for quite a few years. Lots of good info. Taff
