"Little Roarer" - Old "La Galbana" cigar box. Poplar neck, which I stained antique pine then "darkened" around the edges. The maple fretboard was given the same treatment as the neck and lightly sanded back between the 18 and-a-half brass frets (managed to squeeze half a fret on the high end). Age-patinated Mini Humbucker producing a "sizzling" 13k ohms plus... it's quite noisy! The bridge, nut and rear string retainer are made from brass. Bronze zodiac (Pisces) "Roar" knob. Light wax and wipe. The placid appearance belies the sound. Tuned to Deep And Dirty!

Very kind compliments Jerry.  I've tried to build in subtle characteristics whilst no overdoing it. The DAD tuning and the string height action seems to work well.  It is nice to strum, pick and slide.

Thanks T-G, Dave and AGP.  I think the level of "patinating" is about where I wanted it to be.  Only just bedding it in.  It's giving out a strong tone.  I've yet to show a vid on the Nation.  I ought to start setting something up; hopefully in the near future.

That color gradation is quite nice, both on the box and on the neck.
