That sounds great Rev. Rejuvenated! Make some sawdust.

Dave - I've been out of the CBG loop other than FB for a while.  Dipping my toes back here, and trying to reconnect.  Just been busy; no excuses!   It's great to be back!   Have a few builds in progress and in my mind's eye.  Getting the shop situated in the new home, so looking forward to a productive Fall and Winter!

The yodeling brakeman Uncle. I love those train suits he wore in the films. I loved the Dobro in his recordings. Never could do the yodel though. I just play it on slide or skip it.

thanks AGP. A funky hobo’s performance. Having only one tooth helps.

thanks Gary. Nice to hear from you.

Yep, that mic worked well here.  This is more of a country song, but I think Jimmy was doing a lot of black folks type music that he would 'white up' a bit and/or add the yodel.  Man, could he yodel.

Thanks Uncle John. I love Jimmy and know more of his tunes than any other blues man. I muffed the lyrics as I didn’t have the words in front of me. I tried adding Bass and fiddle but couldn’t get it right so kept it simple. The Vern guitar plays nice. It’s a lot like Ratty but with a higher action for slide play only. I like to fret up to the 7th for a mellow melody sound. I like singing into my Gitty kit tin can mic. It has a funky quality on vocals to fit my funky guitar work. Have you tried a tin can mic?

Thanks Denbo. My music roots grew on country music with the Carter family and such. I love the country blues most of all.

I like old Jimmy Rodgers.  Man, you have some fruit on those trees.  Nice, slow and touching version.   This was one of the first songs I learned on geetar.   Really nice vocals.
