Wasn't sure where to post this, but I came across two amazing finds.

  1. Stopped at a garage sale on a whim and bought in almost new condition a Ryobi 9" bandsaw for $30 without a blade, not a problem. After he had my cash and not before. I asked why he was selling it. "Can't get it to track and I keep popping blades!" Ok! I think to myself just bought yourself a $30 boat anchor dumbass! After showing it off to a buddy who has a garage workshop and waiting for him to call me a "sucker"! He says it isn't setup correctly and when I get a blade bring it over. To make a long story short, searching for a 'How to video' I came upon this!
  2. Kool Dog's second amazing find.(How to setup a bandsaw the right way)

Well done Will, you'll love having a bandsaw in your arsenal. I had mine jigged up for two days for a certain job and could not use it for general work, boy did I miss it. Enjoy.

That's awesome.

I have delta benchtop given to me. Its cheaply made, it has 1/8" rods for guides and a roller bearing go a thrust bushing if I can find rollers for side to side I might keep it for one purpose only other wise, it's headed to the auction block. Right now it's perfect for making jigsaw puzzle pieces.

Hey Will, don't junk it too quickly, think how can I rebirth it????

Here a photo of what I did with my old 12" bandsaw.

Man that's one hell of a buffer/polisher! I'm cramped for space. I'll more the likely put it out there for sale and use the money for parts and strings(wallets a little cramped too)LOL

Thanks for the link Will.   I have had "experts" help me adjust my band saw and now I  see why it has never  cut correctly.  I was going to fire sale it and buy another but now I know a little more than my well intentioned friends.

I've got to admit I was skeptical at first, because I shaved watched other videos from "experts". This one made sense from the beginning and he proved it. Ryobi own support tells you "don't get your hopes up." I just ordered new tires an blades for mine, I will post the results of the set up. I'm glad it was of some use.

I've been hacked, sorry for any weird stuff

So your not giving all your stuff away for free?  Haha

LOL Only the exspensive stuff.

My money saving tip for band saws is to invest in some 2mm cylindrical rotary tool bits to sharpen the blades. They cut much quicker and last longer when sharp. I got a box of 30 of them for under $10 on eBay I gave a few away and haven't worn the first one out yet.

Thanks for the tip Titch, would you post a photo and link for the rotary bit. While we are on the subject. How many teeth per inch are you using for the main all around blade?
