Oh baby! As many of you well know I've been looking for volume knob decals for my builds. I was looking for Wet slide off decals, but the ones I found were pricey to say the least, let alone not really what I wanted. I did come across a YouTube video using paper and shipping tape, a long drawn out affair but would have worked. The friendly people here pointed me toward printable volume knob indicators, but they were paper and need to be glued on. With this product I can check off a lot of boxes. Indicators, headstock and fret markers as well as other applications.

Thanks for the tip. I didn't know you could get paper like that.
I find it funny that under this product in the specs Walmart says that this item's gender is female...
They obviously didn't think of all the model makers who use things like that.
I'm surprised to learn that! You don't think there will be a protest.
I read somewhere, if you print out decals spray a light clear coat on them, to prevent the ink being washed off!
Hi Will, I was having a tidy up around the shop and came across this.
Its sheets of sticky back plastic for making stickers. I got a pack of these from the local office supply store. I made up my design on the computer and printed out a batch.
I have pealed a bit of the corner back to show the transparency. I use these on boxes that I want the grain to show through, the Logo on the CBG shown has a solid background.
Thought it might be what you are looking for.
Taff
Thanks Taff, I was mostly putting out there in case anyone was interested, it was a fluke that I found the slide off paper. I like the idea of sticky back, do you varnish over the label? Speaking of which, is that label a "pdf" I'd love to get a copy of it!
I use tracing paper as it turns largely transparent when embedded in either superglue or varnish. I use a cheap water based inkjet so the solvents do not affect them but they would run if using waterslide without additional treatment. Blacks work well. Other colours tend to look a little washed out.
The below was embedded in varnish.
Tracing paper! Never in a million years thought about even trying it for that purpose. Impressive. What brand are your tuners and source? Also the strings they're unique, are they nylon or gut?
The tuners are, or at least were regular open back bass tuners that I widened the slots of. The strings are bass ukulele strings apparently by Aquila but are apparently resold OEM sets.

These would do the trick https://www.cbgitty.com/tuners-machine-heads/chrome-bass-guitar-did...
Cardboard Aided Design! LOL I didn't know that this process had a name. Thank you for the information. Nice build btw.
