This could be git related or not. So, what's on your workbench at the moment?

I have 4 scarf joint necks in different stages of work.

A 25" scale pine 5 string neck for a Banjo-Res, A 25" scale Red Oak neck for my 6 string Strat-Res build, A 24 & 1/2" scale Red Oak neck for my 6 string Double Cut Tele build and a 27" scale 6 string Baritone Conversion neck for a Modern Strat body I have.

Been conditioning Rosewood fretboards on my guitar's while waiting on parts to arrive. I usually do that with Lemon Oil, but I couldn't find any. So I got some Butcher Block Conditioning Oil. This stuff works great.

Some woods get very brittle when they dry out, so keep that in mind. If you have covered the wood with paint, clear, poly, Tru-Oil or some other product, then you can't use this stuff unless you can access a uncovered area like the inside of the box. Don't want to do it too much cause it will change the tone of the instrument, too little and it will break apart from being too dry.

Paul, try stew macs fretboard oil. i use it on everything now, looks professional, and dries!, unlike many oils. can be buffed.

They had the Lemon oil for a little over $17 plus shipping. The Butcher Block Oil was less than $9 local so I decided to try it. It soaked in well and what ever was still on the board after 12 hours(very little) was easily wiped away.

I still use Lemon juice to clean the fretboard. Cost a few bucks at the grocery store. Cleans great and the unused juice gets used for Lemon Ice Box Pie, so I can't really say no to that. Haha

Those fretboards can fool you. One guitar of mine looked fine, but soaked in 3 applications of that oil. 3 more guitars with Rosewood boards to go. All my CBG's have Red Oak fretboards with Tru-Oil on top, so I don't have to do those.

Yippy!

I was garage sale hunting and I found a used table saw for 25$

OK, it does need a lot of TLC but for the price I can't complain. Especially since the bearings are good and the motor isn't burned.

Spent all afternoon yesterday with a toothbrush cleaning out some caked-on wood flour.

I still need to make a new fence locking lever. Reinforce the base that has some missing plastic. Grease the gearbox. Align everything. Make a stand for it. Find some screw-on castors for the locking base I got from the same guy...

Lots of work.

Sounds like a good deal.

Got my Tremolo system in the mail from Europe and installed it on the Bluesbird and strung it up. Played it for awhile, it works like a dream.

Too many empty boxes. I guess I need to build something. ;-)

Looks like you have plenty of work to do.

Paul, I sent a message but it seems to have disappeared. send it again?

Accept my friend request, then your message will get through.

Hi Paul, that guitar is looking good, well done.
