Cigar Box Guitar Slingers - Spokane will have our 10th meeting on Monday, August 5, 6:00 - 7:45 PM at the Airway Heights Library! Our meetings have been going well. Our tablet friendly songbook which can be downloaded at our website is over 75 songs now. Our group is pretty much very new players. We are playing fretted GDG three string CBGs with a one-finger style rhythm style approach and are having a great time: https://sites.google.com/site/cigarboxguitarslingersspokane/

Is there no one in Northwest Montana that builds cbg’s? I’m in Kalispell and would really like to meet up with builders in this area!

Hi folks. I'm from Poulsbo, Washington, and have been building CBGs since 2015 after being inspired by Dean Moller's instruments at the Pike Place Market in Seattle. Drop by the Verksted Gallery Artist's Cooperative in Poulsbo where my instruments are sold or contact me here. I'd love to get together with other CBG builders in the area.

Cigar Box Guitar Slingers - Spokane will have our 2nd meeting on Monday, Dec 3, 6:00 - 7:45 PM at the Medical Lake Library! Our first meeting of 6 players went pretty good. I created a tablet friendly songbook for us to use. Our group is pretty much very new players. We are playing fretted GDG three string CBGs with a one-finger style rhythm style approach.

Hey William - we should get in touch. I'm in Clackamas and was just learning a 6 string when I got drawn into the CBG world a couple years ago. This site is great for building tips, tricks & ideas plus great videos here and on YouTube.

I live in Portland, and I have finished 2 CBGs and 1 CBBass. I am working on my 3rd CBG, presently. I've been trying to learn to play my 2 string bass, and 3 string guitar by learning to read tablature, and watching videos. Are there any other novices in the area who are into building CBGs and learning to play?

Hi! Anyone else from Washington State here? I'm in Bremerton, just across the Puget Sound from Seattle. CBG's don't have any real presence here. None even at FolkLife-I know, I asked.
