The tone is amazing Jim - fantastic work! I'm guessing the mahogany tempers the strident nature of the synthetic head and tin. All-maple would probably put it off the brashness scale. I wonder if Walnut would still keep it on the warm side - traditionalist in me loves walnut for banjos. Gonna message you to clarify a detail about fit if I can. Bravo again!

Ahhhh, your creative mind never ceases to disappoint or amaze Jim! Excellent sound and playing! Can’t imagine the bar you set ever raising, but somehow you never disappoint! All the live gigs with your band keeps you sharp and happy it seems.
