Thanks for the great comment Richard. Love the pics of dijs. I like the non traditional keys. My first dij was an E. My slider likes D and C. G is a long baby. I love the low ones too my dij lip is coming back. I played all evening at a party yesterday and tryed out my new two string diddle fiddle. It will enter the dub soon. :D)

Round n round he blows. This sounds amazing Dave, especially with the Vern Hallet. My research staff came up with a few bits. A, B, and C are created and decorated by traditional custodians. D is a non traditional made for tourist trade. E made by non aboriginals in Australia. Sometimes it’s described as a natural wooden trumpet or a drone pipe. Musicologists classify it as a brass aerophone. Some also get interesting sounds hitting it with a stick for  rhythm wihile blowing. I think you sound great, better than most  Aborigines  Already!

I find it’s a pumping sound for me. It’s continuous in that there’s no gap between the blow and nose snort as you breath in. They don’t have to overlap. I still can’t keep it up for the whole song. Just four to six nose snorts of air while i’m Using my cheeks full of air like a bagpipe to keep squeezing the tone while snorting in the air. It feels good to do it. A transe state. Thanks for your take on it Andries. I can do the hollering and singing too. Not the animal sounds so much as singing words. It helps me play in tune to the guitar. It amplifies the sound also. By moving my tougue around in my mouth other tones and bends can be made. I only scratch the surface.
