The real ones from the abboriginals are from a spesiffic wood that eaten hollow by ausy ants, and curcular means you do Not hear that your gasping for air but it is curcular contineu !(Whit out stops) i am told you blow out by mouth and snort in by nose ,at the same time to keep the sound  surcular, they also have distinctif calling sounds from ausy birds like the koukaburra,and other animal immitations they use to collar up the sounds,special lip effects give high pitch effects to break the low bassy sound, just to name a fjew ! i have a sister in tasmania ,and in the "80 i was totaly in to ABO music! but that Dave is a Differend Story !

From learning the history of the dijeridoo it seems they were found in all cultures on earth. Stands to reason as hollow tubes are found everywhere. In Erurope and Britain they were called grunt sticks. First used to alter the voice. I like their natural distorted sound.

That is interesting.  It sounds a bit like running water like Danny said.  It has an odd combo of peace and foreboding.  Pretty good.

AGP, Bones said he learned it in a few hours. It took me a year and a half. I have found a few tricks that finally got me doing the circular breathing. I’ll show my ticks next vid. You don’t have to do it however to have fun dijin. I like the tuba sound when you do short notes like a horn.

Yup Danny. The dij is a snoring sound. Guttural stuff. Longer big dijeridoo are much more bass like. Better players often use the longer dij’s. Very short ones (key of A) are like small appliances. A wining sound.

DAVE THAT DIJERIDOO SOUND REMINDS ME OF WAKING UP ON THE CREEK BANK LISTENING TO MY FATHER IN LAW SNORING. HE SOUNDED JUST LIKE THAT JUST DIDNT HAVE VERY GOOD RHYTHM

Yet to try circular breathing, I believe it takes a fair bit of time & effort to master :-)

I’m experimenting. This time I did the dijeridoo first then added the Vern guitar as a dub. I’m doing circular breathing in short bursts.
