Always wondered what you do up North way in winter to prevent cabin fever. Dave, you answered some of those questions. Hats off to you Dave for creativity. Someone dancing in the kitchen, you are amazing!

Thanks Uncle John. I saw a couple of awesome Dij guys AGP linked up for us. Both played guitar and dij simultaneous. They had dij holders something like giant harp holders. One guy had 3 dijs in a row plus guit and shaker.. inspirational! I hope to make a stand for a dij and try that. The guys played just open strumming while Dijin. I tryed holding the dij and guit in one hand to strum with the other. That led to the sliding dij. This was my first try at it. Could work. My first try is lame but the idea is planted. Simplicity is the key. Or actual skill. I lack skill but i’m Good at simple. :D)

Howdy, Dave.   You are the FIRST I know of to do something like this.  Pretty neat, you trend setter.

Thanks you guys. I had a ball blowing dij tonight at music. I used my slider, the old one. I have a real Dij Bones. I have it wrapped in a leather hide. I’ll get it out. The bamboo dij I played on this was my first real dij. I got it from “Ocean Wave” (walter Ostend) at Renaissance Fest. It has cracked over the dry winter’s but I Bound it in string wound on with glue. I sealed the cracks. It doesn’t sound as good as before but it suits me. It’s in E. An easy key to blow. I can do circular breathing Andries. I’ll do a vid of that soon. It took me a long time to get it. Bones got it right away. It has a magical mojo to change your mind. I like that. I like the tuba sound of a toungued beat. Singing while you blow helps be in tune with the guitar. That drone box knocked me out Poorness. It reminded me of the dij right away. Because I was playing my slider for a week before hearing your box. I love your wizardry Poorness. I hope your bamboo is crack free AGP. It will sound best if unsplit. But many players use bees wax to fix the cracks. String binding works good too. Almond oil is a good finish and helps from cracking.
