Thanks very much Paul.

Great job Greg! I have that exact tin and also intend to build a 4 string from it using that same mag pup. It's a ways down the build list at the moment, but love the looks of yours.
Thank You,
I also made a small amp to clip on belt out of a much smaller copy of this tin using the CB Gitty 9 volt amp kit. Can't find my pic of amp and guitar together.
Cheers
Greg
Fantastic work.
Brother in-law opening his new CBG
After building myself a pretty simple non fretted slide three string CBG this summer. I got it in my head that I was going to build one for my brother in-law for Christmas. After a few restarts and trying to fret guitar for the first time. I finished it two days before Christmas. I ended up with a pretty nice Christmas present for the bother in-law under the tree.
This being my second build ever I am dang proud of it.
This Lap Steel guitar is the 46th instrument to come out of our workshop at Slow Lane Music. The body is solid oak stained with aniline dye and then finished with tung oil. It uses a CBGitty.com dual-rail hum bucker and volume control knob mounted to a neck plate. It's strung with a set of CBGitty's c7 strings and the frets are drawn on with permanent marker. It's sustain for days and more twang than we know what to do with.
A 3 string lap slide guitar I made for my wife, Debby. She's a big fan of foxes, if that isn't obvious by the theme. The top and back are 1/4" oak veneered plywood. The body is a combination of 1/2" oak and 1/2" plywood. It is a 24" scale that uses a 3 pole single coil pickup. The body is fairly hollow so that it can also be played acoustically. The pearl button fret markers are at the 3,5,7,10,12 and 18th frets. The eyes are a combination of stacked brass and pearl-look buttons. The whole build was distressed and then finished off with a brown antiquing wax
