Build #27, Cèilidh (pronounced kay-lee), a mandocello/bouzouki sort of thing. 8 strings (4 unison courses), 25.5" scale, 22 frets, maple neck and rosewood fingerboard, the body is a book box from Hobby Lobby. The pickup is an MGB Hot Tuna humbucker and the controls are volume, coil split, treble cut, bass cut and mid cut. Currently tuned modal D (ADAD).

outstanding.

Thanks Paul!

Built this for my 10 year old Nephew Andy. I played Silent Night on it at our family Christmas party. After the much appreciated applause, I turned to Andy and said " Hey Andy, by the way this guitar is now yours" He was shocked! Came over to me with a huge hug and thank you. Later that day, must've thanked me 5 times. Said it was the best present he got! This was built with parts from C.B. Gitty including tuners, fret wire (it is a also zero fret), strings, rod piezo volume pot, jack, and strap buttons.

Here's a swamp witch that  sold a little more locally . Someone  bought for a friend as an Xmas gift. Made from  a chopped up pinball game  playing field , , it lights up and has sound effects . I am currently doing another one of these , and i think it will be the  last of the pinball line .

That's cool Pick.

thanx man ;-)

Hi, you will see entered in this competition a guitar by Warren Evans, built for his son for Christmas.

Warren is my son and lives a 2-3 day drive across Aussie from me, but somehow we posted our entries at the same time, without knowing.

This photo shows my son and his son both with guitars I had built as gifts for them. They came from Santas workshop, but not this year.

Taff

Good looking family and git builds.
