Background: This newest Blues song is an improvisational offshoot created from the first two verses of my first original Blues Song, that I had composed/written/recorded a couple of weeks ago, so I guess it's my Blues song # 1 1/2.
The simple and easy to play chord progression used throughout the entire song is:
|: G | Am | D - C | G :|
This song was authored and performed by me in a similar style to that which Beth Hart uses when singing her famous blues song: I'd rather go Blind.

This is really good. Well put together. Your voice is very pleasing, kind of like Ole Willie Nelson.
Thanks for your kind words Nancy . . . this song (as well as those among us here at this location hearing the improv version of it) cried out for it to be made into a music video - so, you know, I just had to make it into one...
BTW - I've got two motorcycles now (a cruiser and a touring class one), so when I do my Epic Route 66 + 42 National Parks and Monuments motorcycle "bucket-list" tour in the fall of next year - I may have to take a little detour and stop by and see you . . . :-) We can drink coffee and talk about good times riding motorcycles with each other for awhile . . .
Thanks Dennis - this blues song #1 1/2 of mine puts my very first recently authored blues song to shame . . . and in my opinion, came out much better than my first one - which is more laid back than this one is.
Well, a lot of good songs came through a long process and a lot came quickly.
Thanks Uncle John - this all started out as me throwing together a 5 minute improv recording to show Richard Sundberg that the form and tempo of the instrumental music backing dictates how the words in your song must be used and adapted to navigate the musical terrain being set down by the various instruments, and that the musical terrain could change the entire character of how the words in the song is presented to the target audience. As an FYI - my first authored blues song sounds NOTHING like this one . . . even though it uses the exact same words in the first two verses.
After listening to that Beth Hart song for about a dozen times during the course of the day, I put together a simple backing track which contains 3 string license plate resonator guitar playing, and took two verses from my first freshly-authored blues song and just made up the rest while sitting in front of the mic . . . that humming segway you hear me doing near the end of the song reflects the time in my improv where I was trying to quickly think of more content to add to the end of the song (I kept that humming segway portion in the final version). . . Anyway, the off-the-top-of-my-head improv came out rough, but so well sounding - that everyone here was telling me that I needed to make it into its own full-blown stand-alone blues song . . . so I did.
Now you have the "Paul Harvey" rest of the story . . . :-)
Big grin good for the intro and warning, then the music and vocals and lyrics. Really good. It does have a similar feeling to 'I'd Rather Go Blind.' But it is original and a stand alone good original.
