Hi Jeff, good topic, a while back I started collating photos of all the peghead styles I had used over the years, I did not complete it, yet.

For years I have built electric and acoustic guitars and Stringed instruments of all kinds before adding CBG's to the list.

when I settled on a peghead design that I liked, back in the 1970's, I kept in mind that (thinking ahead in those days) when a guitar is viewed on television and you want to know what it is, you could only usually tell by the peghead. But as the camera zoomed in for a closeup they always cut out the headstock.

So my idea was to have an headstock design that was very recognisable from a distance. I don't use it now unless requested. But it did work for me. A newspaper carried a photo of a band playing overseas, I did not read the article until I recognised my peghead in the lineup.

A bit of useless information. Taff

No info from you is useless Taff a few pics would be great if your willing to put some up cheers Cobba .

Nice one Bones, I dig the mirror image.  Here's the Pigasus style...

I don't have a template, I just eyeball a previous headstock then shape with my belt sander, so even though this shape is becoming my standard, each one is a bit different.

You have got nice flair with flow of curved and well placed decals and dogtag are a really neat touch K.

I can't decide... so here are my top three (in no particular order):

I really really like the top one. so sweet.

Thanks, Mikey, I stole the design idea for that one from CBN member Cpt. Nemoff. He even made a how-to video... So most of the credit goes to him. I just altered his design a little bit for my purposes.

These are great examples of what in a good headstock nice 3 Hans cheers mate .

Hi again, thanks the kind words Bones. Ok I'll only post one photo.............however it does have a few pegheads in it. As Hans mentioned its hard the pick a winner when one likes so many. As I do not want to seem greedy or of hijacking your thread, I'll post a dozen other builds from over the years, not CBG, in a different thread.

The means to post a photo did not appear sorry.
Cheers Taff.

Hey Taff, if you mean that CBN didn't load the buttons in the post editor (as it often does for me) you can try a "force refresh" which will cause the browser to re-check with the web server to make sure it has the latest copy of the web page you are viewing.  For Windows, hit the control (Ctrl) and F5 button at the same time or for Mac,  Apple + R or Cmd + R.

Thanks Korrigan, but that did not fix it, and there's more to it than that. The whole page has a white background, and it appears lots of photos and other graphics are not appearing, and the icons for posting photos are not found above the reply box. I have reported the problem.
Taff

Hi, I don't know what happened but my CBN screen is back in full colour, looks 100%.

So lets try with the photo. These are cbg headstocks only..............

The six string headstocks are on necks that are reworked recycled. Taff
