I built a second CBG, finished Monday night - I can't every do anything simply so I went with a knockoff of a pic I saw on this site recently.
It actually worked out really well! I didn't cut a sound hole but the resonance is so good I'm considering leaving it as is.
I need to pull the strings off and add the fret location markers - I got so excited as I was closing in on finishing it that I forgot those.
Also trying to decide if I want to stick a piezo pickup in it.
Tried my hand at doing a heel on the neck - I can see I need to work on my shaping, and allow myself a bit more patience on that task.

Thought about this at some point. Putting tuners on at the tail. I am still working on my first conventional build though. So tell me how this works. The strings go under the 'bridge' by the looks of the pic.
Worked out pretty well; has a nice tone - I still haven't cut a sound hole and it sounds pretty good! Of course I'm not much of a player (yet) so a more seasoned builder/player might beg to differ but for my second build I'm pretty happy with it.
As far as the bridge, there's actually a traditional wood bridge where it would normally go, I just put a drawer pull over it for a combination of decoration and having a place to put your hand when playing. If you look in the pics you can make out the actual bridge, it's just a very similar color tone to the wood of the box.
The only thing I would say is less than ideal is that having the tuners on the tail end results in awkward playing position - setting the guitar on your leg results in the tail and tuners kind of sitting weirdly and it's easy for your arm to rest against and even change the tuners.
