great guitar and a great cause too.  just wondering what  shirt of pick up you used and how you did the sound hole

Hi Brent, I cut the sound hole using a hole saw, GO SLOW AND HANG ON. the surrounding chrome ring is one of my resonator soundhole covers with the grill mesh cut out.

I used a piezo pickup. To me these are too tinny sounding in a tin body, that is why this guitar is wood, with the lid on top. Even so, sounds reasonable at bedroom levels through my acoustic amp, but in the band situation it was terrible, I was embarrassed. But it sold. 

Also at high sound levels of a full band it had feedback, as expected.

Thanks for the comments guy's. I've just read in the local paper that we raised just under $3000.00 on the night for the Farmers fund.
