I figured someone was already doing this, but my idea is to have the tuning to be GBD, where the G is the high string where the low string would be. Essentially, it would be strung like a banjo, but without the low D and G strings. This way, you'd have the G at your thumb, the D at your middle finger like normal banjo, and you can have that banjo style beginning like in Foggy Mountain Breakdown or any number of bluegrass tunes where the notes go from C sharp to D really fast. If you're building instruments where you'd use ball end strings, you can get ball end banjo strings, and you would just be left with strings 3 and 4 from the package. Sort of a subtractive banjo sound without the low D and G to play with.

I did 4 weeks of community collage does that make me a Collage dropout? 

this is a great lesson Jim the box tap gives and claw  such a full rhythm. Be cool to hear a guy on washtub bass next to this.
