Facebook, My Space, Twitter and LinkedIn - now there's an idea !
How about we set up a 'UK CIgar Box Guitar Festival' on these social networking sites and then by 'favouriting' it - all the people we are connected to will become aware of it too. These kinda things often have a habit of becoming 'viral' and attracting hundreds, or even thousands, of followers.
I'd be happy to help set up such things. Shall we ?

I'm planning on coming this year, but am still getting the cash together to cover the cost.
It would be useful to know in advance what technique workshops there will be so I know which instrument to bring.

Last year there were around 85 members on the forum when we had the festival. We had a nicely busy roomful for the workshops and packed the place in the evening. So far, sales of the all-day tickets are up to where we were last year, so I'm hoping, working and cajoling to get those numbers proportionately higher. Just on the raw figures alone, my aim was to double to numbers over last year...if that happens I will be over the moon! It will still mean that is a nice intimate affair, but the buzz will be great if we can get more people along! In the meantime, I'm trying to keep my anxiety attacks to myself!!! So if you haven't bought a ticket yet, please do. There's no problem about paying on the day, BUT it helps my stress levels enormously if I have a clearer idea of who's coming.

This is particularly important for the daytime sessions, as I'm just about to put the programme together for the day, and this time I will be trying to get groups sizes down to a smaller size, so people can have more individual attention, especially for playing technique workshops.

hey thanks guys, good work! 200 people no way that's mad! if half turn up to the uk fest it should be a ruddy good day!hopefully a lot of none C.B.nation people will turn up as well!

Hey just noticed we topped the 200 members mark. That means there are at least 199 people on my wavelenght in the UK. I thought I was an alien when I first got into this stuff.

Hi Mark - I bought these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/4-NEW-CASE-BOX-CORNERS-BRACKETS-FIXING-SCREWS... fre P&P and a good seller. Actually they sent me chrome instead of the brass ones I ordered and replaced them free and told me to keep the chrome ones as a gesture of goodwill
