Tuneomatic bridge no contact to strings for ground..aluminum?

  • i have a tuneomatic style bridge  ...I acquired it in a trade a while back so I don’t know the brand. It has fat posts that are drilled into the wood.
  • I’ve used the bridge for a lap steel ...although touching a magnet to both posts , bridge and tailpiece reveal it could be aluminum (cant ground even though strings rest on bridge ?
  • the actual screws for the posts are magnetic but don’t actually make any contact with the strings because of the material of the posts and bridge. The lap is already made except electronics so I’d really not like to run an ugly ground wire out of the electronic cavity directly to a string. Any thoughts please? Thank you,

Aluminum is a better conductor than steel, so you should be able to attach a ground wire anywhere on it.
