Comment by the anonymous pick on November 26, 2016 at 7:30am: Agree with most of what you said Allan , and it is true .the word "teisco" has been umbrella termed to describe old mij guitars . most likely for a few reasons .. it instantly lets you know what type of guitars you are talking about , its a better ebay search term . and unbranded its about a 70 percent chance its a teisco , or made in the same factory . not to mention there was alot of buy-outs back then and some guitars ueed to be teisco . or used to be something else and was bought out by teisco .

It's like "Q-Tip" , " Dinky toy" and ..Kleen-X etc etc.. actual popular brand names that were adopted as a genre . for , and due to easy recognition .
