Will using a looper help me learn to jam with others better?

Will it be a fun toy?

Do you have or want one?

I don't like delays in getting the music going.  Some, (bemuzic) can do a quick, smooth and entertaining transition from starting the looper to really having the song going.   Some folks... well, not so quick or smooth.

Are they cheating?   I think music snobs would say so.  I don't want to be a music snob, but I do like my music honest and straight forward.

Can you correct and enlighten me?

Yup, I've made the offer Unc. My old Ditto looper and all you need is a 9v power supply. The link to the online manual is in an earlier post. I got and now use the next step up Ditto so this first one is just collecting dust. What the heck, I'll get it in the mail to you on Monday and you can give it a go.

nice stuff Jim, love your work

Thanks darryl

Sorry, if I missed the offer before, Jim.  I will take you up on a try out of that looper and somehow make it right later.  Will message you my address.  Thanks, Jim!

John, I use a Nu-X Loop Core.  It's a knock-off of a Boss RC-3, I think, but sells for quite a bit less ($93.50 delivered). It works better than I do.

They are awesome to jam/practice with. I get the moral dilemma some have using them live...but that comes down to individual choice. Still, to practice with? Go for it! Who cares what the "music snob" says. There are too many snobs out there anyway. It's easy to be negative. Go for what you enjoy and helps you develop!

Mines good for gathering dust...never really got on with mine...but its like having a friend to jam with that is invisible and plays just like you do...
