Barrelhouse '16

Hi Keith, the beer festival was cancelled by the Elstead Cricket Club thus losing us the marquee, stage etc. Since I found out I have contacted all the players who had signed up and all who have got back to me are happy with the new arrangements I have put in place. It will still be held in Elstead on the 27th Aug, details within a week. I can say that our headline act will be Swamp Train from Switzerland and many more to be announced.

I have seen the poster for the Cambridge CBG festival but can somebody please tell me others when & where the other two are actually being held? If you google barrel house all you get is details of the 2014 event!

Hi, I don`t want to throw a spanner in the works, but the UK already has 2 CBG events in August, one at the start and one at the end, I did not want to steal any fire from Brian or Barrel House, but I had to have the 6th of August for Cambridge, it is the week after the Cambridge Folk Festival, where will advertise it and also that was the date that the venue was free.

I know that there are people and performers, who cannot come to Cambridge, because they have committed to Barrel House and cannot afford to go to two things in one month.

Can you not do Shropshire in mid-July instead?

You might get more people to travel and come then!

Apologies Nigel but someone else is going to have to arrange the live streaming for this. I think it would be better for someone who is going to be attending so they can manage at the source of any problems that may arise. I've also just started a new job and booked paid lessons to learn the cbg so things are busy like crazy and only going to get busier. Hope it all goes well though and best of fortunes.

Bristol, we're trying to get it set up to live stream too so anyone who can't make it can still watch, chat, etc online. Of course it'd be much nicer to have folks actually there ;). If you know anyone with net expertise who might be able to advise to help us get it running then point them in our direction!

Bristol, nope, Cambridge is on the 6th, this is another cbg & roots festival, brand new in Shropshire on the 13-14. Nigel, the beer's pretty good, it's a small brewery here in town that have revived the old Joule's recipe. They've even started doing a lager that is naturally carbonated instead of the artificial way all others are done and it's the only lager I can drink!

Not been on CBN for a couple of weeks nearly ....  I am confused now , doh! So not 6th August but 13th ?  Same venue ? Cheers !
