As regards "Boxstock", I've got the option on a few alternative dates for the Slade Rooms in Wolverhampton, so I'm just waiting on the venue to come back to me and confirm. It will be a free all-day event (workshops, open mic, trade stands etc) with ticketed/pay on the door evening gig. It's a cracking venue with a nice bar, a great live room and a serious PA.

I seem to remember Boxstock was canceled last year as the venue pulled out. I would like to attend one depending on location, Elstaed may be too far.  I defiantly not a player.

Hi Guys, Been a bit slow getting the details out but this is how BARRELHOUSE '16 festival is shaping' up.

Saturday, 27th August from 2.00pm – 8.00pm. In the beer tent at Elstead Pavilion, Thursday Road, Elstead, GU8 6LJ.

Players include: Joe Cribb; Two Chords And A Lie; Soulcatcher; Flatfoot Johnny; Bug; 2 Fat Blues; John & Mary Maw; Tin-Pot Commoners. With 'maybe(s)'; Jez Walker; Brickdust.

Someone organised a festival in Denby Dale, I think it was 2014 (brains a bit fuzzy with age).  Was a belting all dayer - cracking music, loads of beer, and local to me so I could walk home!  It was well attended but I would imagine a lot of work went into organizing it.  I wouldn't know where to start.

I think there's a regular CBG festival called BoxStock held in Birmingham and organised by ChickenBoneJohn. Details of last year's event here:
