I have a two-disc piezo pick up to install in a tin. I've bored the hole in the side of the tin and got the jack outward pointing and in place but what do I do with the discs? What's the best way to attach them to the lid of the tin? Sellotape? PVA glue? Any other method and I'm going to have to buy something to do it with. Would sellotape or PVA glue work? Which side of the piezo gets stuck to the tin lid? Is it bronze side down (directly on the lid with the white and bronze side visible inside the lid) or the other way around? This is my first dance so I'm totally confused lol. Excited to be amped up soon but still confused!
Thanks in advance.

If you can't fault 'em, join 'em! I bought some metal bowls a while ago, to put one in another as a resonator, but haven't got a jigsaw to cut out big round holes for them to go in yet. I'm largely all hand tools, barring the drill. One day :)
Clever! I have a coping saw but I'm rubbish at cutting in a straight line, or intended curved line as the case may be lol. I've got a beautiful thin wooden box that's encased in thin aluminum but I'm scared of ruining it. It's what the poker chips came in when I got them as a present one Christmas but the textured aluminum is really gorgeous. There's also the issue that the opening, which is where I'd have to put a neck, is much thicker metal because the aluminum is folded there to make a neat closure. I'll use it for sure once I get more confident with the tools but perhaps not yet. Not sure if I want to make that into a reso or just a four string standard CBG. Good tip with the drill for bigger holes though. I'll remember that one :)
Thomas, that's a thing of pure beauty. Thank you for the advice too. You're right, I likely would have asked. Not sure if it's because I have an innate need to learn or I'm just nosey lol
I got the hubcap cheap at an automotive swap meet from a guy who had lots of assorted vintage matched sets of four. It was an orphan and covered with dirt like it had been laying in the weeds out back of a garage so he sold it cheap. It's stainless steel so there is no rust and has a few dings that give it character. The body is made from some 3/4" pine that was an old work table top from the laundry room and the neck it an oak 1X2 with a 1/4" oak fingerboard.
