Thanks! I guess the lid on that one really won't be much resonant...maybe its better to use a magnetic pu right away? a nice golden lipstick or something...

Thanks guys! For the next build I am planning to use a Montague box which is really thick-walled...anything to consider for the build? Soundholes? Pickup? ...

Looks good Roland, a lot better than my first build (which is still on my workbench).  I have had several other successful builds, but still haven't gone back to the first one to try fixing all the mistakes I made.

How does she sound?

With regards to 'loose frets' and how to get them to seat tight....(and how to glue them if all else fails)....most folks have been successful by following the techniques in Mordacai's CBG making instruction book at www.Gittyman.com

He shows a couple of tools to make to seat the fret properly and to make sure all the frets are the same level in height in relation to distance to the strings.

And if the frets just don'w ant to sit tight, he shows how to use a small drop of super glue.

Good book for such an inexpensive price.....check it out.

I have stuck labels back on with clear lacquer by spraying a light coat on the box and spraying a wet coat on the back side of the label and smoothing it in place.
