Just putting it out there...

I am working on having a little inventory but my wife expects me to have a plan to get rid of some!

SO, I know of a flea market that gets very busy and I even have a volunteer to sit there at times when I can't or don't want to.  A spot is only $10 a day!  I almost can't lose...unless I sell NOTHING.

Just wanted to see what others may be doing.  Not sure I want to go online just yet like ebay, etsy, etc...  Maybe Craigslist for local stuff.

Not looking to make a ton of money but I can only play with so many at a time and they are fun to make!  Any info for me??

Thanks!

Know of another place, $58/month for a 6x6 spot, you don't need to be there.  Still getting more details, but not being there is almost priceless!

im doing the same on the 28th . im hitting the flea market . after that im not sure yet . ...just dont tell the wife lol .

I find selling at fairs/festivals to be very profitable. Most small towns have their festival in summer or early fall. Whenever someone isn't in my booth looking, I'm out front demo-ing. When people see what I'm playing, they are very curious. Have lots of business cards ready. (You can buy them at Walmart and make them at ome on your computer.) Have some kind of web site. EVERYONE asks if you have a web site.
Good luck!

I show off a few builds at a local consignment shop-due to the very small customer base(small town with just a few tourists passing through) i'm lucky if I sell one a month.I also do the odd commission once in awhile.

If I can get a decent backlog going i'm going to try an  Etsy store-but the competition there is awesomely fierce, there are some true artists over there whose products just take my breath away...

Cool, thanks

Hey John,

Met you at the yesterday @ the York CBG Fest & just viewed some of your canjos. Very nice, I 'msure they will sell like hotcakes. Being there & playing seems to me the best way to go. as I mentioned I sell walking sticks & like the farmers markets. I hired my grand daughter to help me out in the booth. I pay her $10.00 plus 10% on everything we sell, that way she stays motivated. She's 15, older than your daughter, but having some one to cover for you while you take a break is really important, plus I'm guessing she can play.
