Hear's a completely random question I have a 10" wait for it girls hand drum which I am using to make a Banjo Uke . can the skin be dyed or coloured in any way

Only four weeks to the 'Barrelhouse CBG & Beer Fest in Elstead! Saturday, 24th August. There is CBG action in the South and it would be great to see y'all there. Thanks to all those who have already booked in for playing (free T-Shirt and mug for those guys!) but still room for a few more, hopefully some of the 'may bees' will agree! I haven't heard from the guy who promised the PA etc lately! Worst case scenario what would I need? The club might be persuaded to buy a set up. I've seen a 300+300 Peavey system from PA Super @ £1149. Any good? Bletherawk needs help ... but you knew that already! B-)

There will be an event here in Devon May Bank Holiday next year Sat/Sun 3rd & 4th - hopefully some CBG acts along with some some fine folk stuff and a few names you might know. Anyone wanting to play or do a workshop or stall let me know although there may be a small fee for renting a pitch

Yellowbelly has been asked to perform in Mablethorpe on Saturday. I am planning to be on the High Street between late morning and early afternoon.

Drop by if you are in the area, say hi and bring an instrument so you can join in.

The following week I will be playing at the 'Lincolnshire day of folk'. That's Sunday 4th August at the George Hotel in Leadenham. It's an all day event with free entry. I'll be in the orchard at about 5 p.m.

Later in the month at the 2nd Cambridge cigar box festival, and in n September I have a gig at the Newark Blues Festival.
