  • Hey Danny

The first thing I'd suggest is getting down your single-note playing (it won't take long) and then learn to bend. That won't take long either, though it varies for every player. Some can do it almost immediately with the right instruction, whereas others may require a month or two.

Being able to bend notes is critical for playing in second position and third position (the two most common positions for blues harp).

I teach harp in my local area on occasion, but there are great online resources for blues harp. I would suggest you check out the online lessons from Adam Gussow at Modern Blues Harmonica.  His online lessons are simple and affordable . . . and if you spend just a little time practicing you'll be up and running in no time.

  • Pretty good Danny! You got the cross harp going. Just need a flow to pull it together. Good on you.

  • Getting some nice even tones and good sounds, Danny.  The chiefs look good.  They are the nearest to me NFL team.  I am hopping on the band wagon.
