  • Thanks Derek! Hope it brought back fond memories.

  • Nice work on this, Doug. Another one I remember from the home town church.

  • Thanks for the positive feedback on the Slinger Team. On the chord changes you are so right Rope! On a 3-string a key change can make a dramatic difference sometimes and sometimes you can drop some of them out and sometimes you just have to suck it up and increase the level of your play!!! You can guess my preference!

  • I remember them chord changes on almost every syllable on them oldies. It’s not easy. If it skips a change and goes a couple words without it, you gotta get your mojo back on the quick! You get your timing’ all off and youre sunk. Great job here DougThorsvik and Slinger Team.

  • Thanks for the compliments on the Chugger A.D. I would have never guessed a 2-string guitar would work so well with a wide variety of music. Now that I have been playing it for a few months, I changed my mind. So much so that I am doing a BYOB (Bring Your Own Box) Chugger Cigar Box Guitar session next week. Participants bring a cigar box and I provide the rest. Should be fun! Maybe the Slingers will be expanding ranks!

  • Drony good vibe for the Slingers Hyhm There doug ! nice and low sound from that guitar.

  • Glad the hymn brings back memories Uncle John! They do sound a bit different on the guitar than when they are done on the piano and organ, but I find them easier to sing and I can key them to my vocal range.

  • That is one I like and remember from my Lutheran upbringing.   Nicely  and well done.
