  • Thank you very much, Cynthia. You made my day :) For the resonator, we followed the lead from Justin Johnson's video of Richard Brantley's technique. It is hammered with a ball-peen on a semi-soft surface like cardboard. Here is a link to Justin's video:

  • bless you, Dad. You give the gift of music AND the hands on training with tools, wood work, math and measuring.  Gold. Girls are craftsman too!  We need more Dads to put the tool in our hands and expect the same proficiency. My Dad never allowed girl touching tools. I work as a Machinist; Uke builder  (2 tenor; hobby) and admire the precision of your builds. Im now starting a EuLong tin Reso; but request advice on your stressed paint can lid. Id like to try the banjo as well. Kudos to you.

  • Nice.  Nice.

  • By the way, Silent Jim, we have really enjoyed your contributions to the Dylan tribute albums.

  • Thank you guys! I an lucky to get daily jam sessions from these two :)

  • Thank you, Gary!  I appreciate how supportive you and everyone in STL has been of these two!

  • These young ladies are incredibly talented musicians, playing almost any thing they pick up. They have some really great parents who encourage them to explore new things and experiences. Glad to have gotten to know them and look forward to hearing more from them.
