I remember one guy that hardly came around complaining about that? But, the site says you can post up to 10 videos a day, so you’re well within your rights to do so, no matter what anybody says? We’ve already lost enough members over that kind of selfishness. Simply, if you click on the Videos tab instead of looking at the Video dashboard on the front page it shows all the recent video’s uploaded within the last week or two? I could go for more than 2 uncle John videos a day, no complaints :D
Thanks Kale and Doug. Cool you have the same guitar, Doug. (But upside down. Or maybe mine is upside down!)
Even though the 6-string is louder than a CBG, your vocals rang through loud and clear. I liked the CBG version better.
I have the lefty version of the same guitar, peeled the pick guard off. Bought it at Southpaw Guitars in Houston Texas. Only guitar I have ever been able to play before buying! I prefer playing my CBGs, but have been playing my Martin again to fill in occasionally for the worship leader at church.
That 6-string is LOUD. Sounds great with the harp though. I like both versions John.
Alan, the pricy Martins are made in the U.S. The X series like mine are made in Mexico to Martin's high standards. The necks, backs, sides and some times the tops are made of HPL. High pressure Laminate. Wood based Fake wood with a pretty finish. Tough too. Mine does have a solid top. I intend to message you about sixes.
The Martin is coming through Loud and Strong UJ, which is what they are supposed to do, only wish I could afford one, and also wish I could play the 6 Stringers a bit better than I do, since finishing my new storage shed. and freeing up some space in my Music Cave, I have taken all 12 of my 6 Stringers out of the Cupboards and have them on Racks etc close by, I just need to put more time into getting my Fat Fingers around the extra strings ;-D
Thanks, Andries, Yep, on the Martin booming - a little too loud in my opinion - but part of that is due to the camera/mic placement angle. Maybe I needed the cam at a higher angle or more distant. One of the good things about CBGs unplugged is that they seldom overpower the singer.
Booming on your Martin UJ ready for the great halls ,i say ! but the live one on the gravesite was more in sink whit the vibe somehow !
Hi James. Thank you, old friend. I am so far unable to play two guitars at once. I can't play claw hammer banjo either.
Sounding great on that 6 string!!! Now that you have done the song with a 6 string and a cbg maybe you could some how do one with them both? Oh and the harmonica
