New Resonator Dulcimer

It is a hand spun cone from my neighbors machine shop across the street. It is brass and about 6 inches wide perfect for a cigar box sized guitar.Next one will be even thinner maybe so more loud. This one is a little thick but it is holding up fine no sign of warping or any thing.

  • Before the beard eh buddy?

So this is how it all started?!!!!!!

That guitar sounds pretty damn good.I'm stoked you brought the cones to us at an affordable price. And the right size.I saw a uke reso set on ebay for $70,way too much for this po' boy.

    Great work!

  • WOW, That is sooo cool, great job. Thanks for letting us hear it! Youve' got a unique style.
  • Lowe, so incredibly cool! I love the texture in the center of the reso dish, and the way it is bolted on. And of course always great to hear you play!
  • Now that is impressive! I think this is the first homemade spun cone that I have hear that is comparable to a commercial model. Question and suggestion: No cover plate to protect the cone? Definately it will alter the sound, but without a hand rest or cover plate that cone may get damaged. You continue to surprise me with your rustic approach. Thanks for sharing. Keep em coming my friend. Enjoy.
