RtB#0- a few ££s worth of trash screwed to a length of oak- is run through eight bars of a blues classic. "Needs more volume" is its maker's verdict...

  • Ha ha sorry about that Jeff- but trust me, you would not have wanted it any longer. I balked a bit at 40s...
  • I meant length of video not scale but understand on the bad neck and shoulder Wal.
  • If somebody had told me just two months ago that I could build a working guitar I would have called them a liar, so I'm not unhappy with it. Good tip re the ply back- I'll try that-but the scale is deliberately short because I have a bad neck, left shoulder and arm. 24.5" is plenty; all future builds will be of that order. Saves on wood too!
  • Finally got to see it not long enough sounds fine if you want a bit more sound cut a piece 1/4 ply to fit in the back I did it on #3 tinjo it helped to project the sound .
  • Glad you 'found' it Richard. Honestly though, I had not intended it to be a banjo- next time I'm gonna work in wood! And add more strings! And use a different video app, though I do like the titles...
  • I see and hear this load and clear, nice blues slide on a very cool banjo Wal!
  • Well, thanks Dave, but 'banjo'? I knew I should not have used a round tin!
  • Nice seeing your slide in action. Nice banjo too!
