This is Part I of my Tea Filter build. I saw this DIY pedal kit years ago and thought it would be even more useful with an expression pedal jack. Well, I finally decided to buy it and build it. I'll mod it to include an expression jack in Part II.

You can purchase this kit here: https://www.modelectronics.com/product/tea-philter

  • Forgot to add, if you have  a cheap Volume pedal that you're not crazy about, then wire this circuit in & you'll have one helluva wah for dirt cheap?

    • I'm gonna do something similar in the next vid.

  • Kool, the ol' Colorsound inductorless wah circuit as a tone shaper has been around since the 70's or 80's? There are actually about 3 or 4 different versions of the original circuit. The original had two medium gain transistors forming the darlington transistor. If you substitute that 10K resistor connected to the emitter with a trimpot, you can get some interesting fluctuations of gain? That cocked wah sound is what makes Dire straits "money for nothing" so great! Thanx for sharing, most people associate the Crybaby circuit with wah, but the Twin T Filter has its strong points too, especially that you don't have to spend $20 for an inductor! Have you heard of the Millennium Bypass, it allows you to use a DPDT switch with an LED & it's true bypass?

    • I have not seen that bypass mod but I will check it out. Thanks BrianQ.
