A 4-string fretless with a licesne plate as a resonator. Cedar body, maple neck, oak fret board, fretless. Tuned to B b f# b for this video (the "Seasick Steve" tuning).

Here's a pic showing the piezo placement. I think it could have been louder, but I had to use some double-sided tape between the plate and pickups. They were grounding out. I guess I could have flipped them over... but I had already glued them.
Thanks! This one is dual piezos. The distortion is just the lead channel on my Classic 30. I actually expected it to be a bit dirtier, but I like the way it sounds. Gain on the amp was about 10 (goes to 12).
Looks and sounds great. Are you using a piezo or do you have a mag pup under the plate? Is the distortion coming from fx, or is that just turning up the gain?
I just finished my first license plate git with a mag pup under the plate and the sound is very clean. I tried cranking up the levels to get distortion without fx, but couldn't get it high enough. Fairly easy to do when I pickup on the strings, but not so easy from the lid vibes. At least with my git.
