"When the Levee Breaks" Written by Memphis Minnie and Kansas Joe McCoy in 1929 in response to the Great Mississippi Flood of 1927.This was just a fun jam for me. I have learned here that some of us really feel the music and some feel the lyrics and story. I am more the story of the song kind of person, but once in a while I really do get to feeling the music. Some day I hope to find a better key to sing this one in and to get the lyrics down better... And redo it.But this is it for now. Played on a fretless GDg git cranked to A# F a#.This sounded good on a piezo and an Elmar, but the tone of the Dan Sleep Sleeptalker pickup used here was the best by far to my not so good ears.

Loved that!
I am calling on the 6 string Gods of Zoso to keep the Angry 3 string CBG Gods at bay, or at least "Cooped" up for a bit :-)
Antonio, thanks. There are free ways to convert vids to MP3 and then tech savvy folks can get them on IPODs. etc. I used to do that with a RealPlayer format., but it quit working and I am a tech dunce. Anyway, for young folks (under 60) there are free programs that I think will do it.
The Sleeptalkers are really nice pickups, awesome tone! I used the one John gave me in this git, I still have it John. It's NFS :-) Love it!

Thanks, Duck and Jim. Maddog has or had a Sleeptalker pickup and was really pleased with the warmth of it. This one was an early - learner- from Dan Sleep. Less winds than the later ones. No buzz and warm smooth tone for me.
