  Yes, if you want bass use strings EAD tune EAC# (Key of A)

  Mid-range use strings ADG tune ADF# (Key of D)

  Higher use strings DGB tune the same DGB (Key of G)

  Use the same finger positions, CBG changes the key.

  Good to see and hear you, Keni Lee.  You introduced me to ADF# and I still use it some.   I am more of a DGB guy - same string relationships.
