  • Thanks, Clock, Phil, Mark ... to answer your questions, guys, there is no cut-away, the neck goes straight through. I left it like that because I knew that the tin top would depress into the neck anyway if not left in contact with the neck. One reason it sounds so good is that I used a rod piezo, cut into a groove of the neck right under the bridge. This cuts way down on feedback.The bridge is bone set into wood.

  • Nice picking Tim. I, too would like to know if there is a cutaway under the soundboard...I am just about to begin a build using a similar shaped tin. What did you use for a bridge?
