Yes. Most of my songs the music leads me too. When I have a dry spell, I have lots of lyrics written in days gone past that lost their music vehicle, and now await a new ride.
Silly Nelson perhaps Rick. Old Fool on the Hill. I always feel Lucky when I’m gifted by a song that works. I don’t “Work” to write songs. I just let them come to me. I put out bait and listen to hear what shows up. Do you hear songs by listening to your instrumental guitar work?
It’s the first summer like weather we’ve had Uncle. Two days in a row. This might last for a few more. I saw several early blooming fruit trees showing off on today’s drive. It’s dry though. No rain yet in May. Hoping for some soon. We can’t have a fire outside due to fire danger. Been Cookin in our crock pot.
good weather for pickin though. I played the Mallard today. Sounds good through the PigNose.
Thanks A.D. and Doug. Kind words from you all. I’ve been listening to my guitar playing. Trying to hear what it’s saying. Then after the Bass and other dubs are done I write down what the guitar said. That worked pretty good on this one.
Thanks Ray. I feeling the joy of being able to play at the lake again. It’ll get noisy with power tools and dogs barking but for now it’s quiet. Cabin folks will be back on the fishing opener.

Minnesota’s Willy Nelson, soulful rhythm and blues. Excellent song Dave, you hit this one out of the park. Laidback down and out authentic blues.
