Traditional Song done by Bessie Smith and Mississippi John Hurt. My Grand Dad uses to say, "Hot time in the old town tonight" and if I remember correctly, sing a snippet of the song. He also said, "Now you're cooking with gas, Going like 60 and Hoo-ah, Hoo-ah."Hot times in old town tonight ~ TraditionalCome and go with me down in old town tonight. It's hot times in old town tonight.Come and go with me down in old town tonight.Hot times in old town tonight.I'm going down to bring my baby back. It's hot times in old town, down town tonight. It's hot times in old town, down town tonight, I'm gonna down to bring my baby back.I'm going down with a razor in my hand.I'm going down looking for that man.I'm going down with a razor in my hand.Hot times in old town tonight.Rubber tie your bootie, rubber tie your hat. I'm gonna down to bring my baby back. Rubber tie your bootie, rubber tie your hat. Hot times in old town tonight.

Thanks for the kind words, Brian, Danny and Richard. I kind of need them as it is sleety and cold this morning. Can not do the outdoor work or recreation I had hoped to do. Maybe will paint a wall and play some music and read a good book.
I am glad you guys like some of those good old sayings. It's a basement den, Richard and really quite pleasant. The one inside wall is concrete block but the other 3 walls are insulated, dry walled and painted.
Going like 60 Uncle, I like that phrase from your Grand Dad and sure applies here! You’ve created such a classic and vintage visual here, stripped down to the bare essentials. A man singing blues and playing his heart out for a girl. Gotta ask, is this a basement or jail cell! Just asking, the razor thing and all. Excellent my friend, loved it!
