Unboxing Texas Themed CBG. I received this CBG from Kale at Poorness Studios in Dallas for our Texas CBG Swap-off. This was to commemorate the birth of Texas Statehood on March 2, 1836. I build one for Steve at Steve's Strings, San Antonio, he built one Kale in Dallas, and Kale built one for me in Houston.

  • It is great to see you play!  You and Kale are both definitely more skilled than I am at playing these 3-stringers!  I look forward to the next builder's swap!

  • I’ve now watched all three videos. What a great idea!!! Every builder and player has their own style and that is what makes cigar box guitars so much fun. I especially like seeing you three play the CBGs; that is the point after all. Making music! The Yellow Rose of Texas fingering was a fitting tribute! Well done guys!!!

  • You mean you're not 185 years old John? Ha ha.

  • Hey,  Texas and I have the same birthday.   Not the same year!   That is a very nice build.  Whoo-hooo, sounding good Bob.

  • You seemed to like it Bob. That's great news. It's fun to build instruments but more fun to see them bring joy to others. Thanks for filming/posting this.
