cover, GDGB, "4 string", Gomez

A favourite of mine from my youth I've recently been rediscovering. Gomez were a kind of stoner alt-folk blues band and this is from their first album 'Bring It On' in 1998.4 string CBG tuned GDGB. Hand wound single coil pickup, Bugera V5 valve amp.

Thanks for the encouragement Antonio, John and Wes. GDGB is a fun tuning to play in. I'm going to try FCFA next time I buy new strings as you can probably tell G is pretty much the limit of my vocal range, and pushing it at that!

A lot to like here. Really nice vocals. Good git tone. Really nice looking guitar. Never heard of the band, but a good song for sure. Oh! You built the pickup too. Wow.

GDGB. Love the sound when somebody good plays it. I am pretty food at GDg and DGB. I should probably work on GDGB. But that sounds like work.

Clock - glad you liked it!

J - I think they're still around in some capacity, but it was really just the first 2 albums which really resonated with me. Yeah - I really like this pickup, but I can't remember how many winds it has, annoyingly. This is my best build so far for sustain.

Great playing mate. Super sound outta that thing. You're gonna have to sell me one of those pickups of yours! ;-)
